Designer Eddie Lee reimagined this master bathroom as "a blend of English charm and Asian lushness, with some European classicism added in," he says. While Farrow & Ball paint imitates a cloudless heavens hand-painted panels grace the walls.
CHIC CONSOLE
Designer David Kleinberg based the look of this conventional bath's sink-stand on a French iron console.
OLD-WORLD WAINSCOTING
Back in the 18th-century when this Massachusetts farmhouse was built, there wasn't any such thing as a master bath. So architect Michael T. Gray and interior designer Hattie Holland carved one out of a hallway and added wainscoting and window casings to create a feeling of yesteryear.
LUXE PATTERNS
The wainscoting of Victorian tiles was set up by the former proprietor decorator. "Are not they gorgeous?" Says designer Joe Nye. He also slipcovered the side chair in a complementary linen stripe.
TEXTURED FLOOR
In her light-filled ranch home, photographer Amy Neunsinger joint an elegant claw-foot bath with a casual woven rug.
GRAND ENTRY
With a set of French doors which open up to a balcony, designer Barry Dixon fashioned a Washington D.C. bathroom to be the home spa. The corner table is for sipping morning coffee when lounging in a bathrobe.
FLORAL MURAL
"I love cherry flowers," says designer Caroline Beaupere. "This master bathroom at a home in New Jersey was inspired by hanami, the Japanese tradition of going to find the blossoms as part of a celebration of spring."
